Please send Prayers up for @UriahHallMMA scariest thing I have ever seen.— Paige VanZant (@PaigeVanzantUFC) January 13, 2018
If Doo Ho Choi expected the Ultimate Fighting Championship to give him a cushy landing spot following his epic three-round war with Cub Swanson, he was sorely mistaken.
Choi tipped the scales at 146 pounds ahead of his five-round pairing with Jeremy Stephens (145.5) in the UFC Fight Night 124 main event on Sunday at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
Meanwhile, middleweight co-headliner Vitor Belfort (186) was disappointed to learn that his retirement fight against Uriah Hall has been called off after Hall failed to make it to the scale.
UFC Fight Night 124 “Stephens vs. Choi” -- which will air live on Fox Sports 1 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT -- will also feature a women’s flyweight scrap pitting Team Quest’s Paige VanZant (125.5) against Jessica-Rose Clark (125.5) and a welterweight clash matching “The Ultimate Fighter 21” winner Kamaru Usman (169.5) with Emil Weber Meek (170.5).
